From 2014 to 2015
“No complaints. Only memories. That is what I take from 2014 and that is what I long from 2015”
What to say about this year? It has been nothing less than a roller coaster ride for me. Every month had something good and something bad to offer.
- I became the school captain.
- Trip to UAE in summers.
- My 15th birthday.
- The success of ‘VIBRANCE’ my annual school day.
- The mental exhaustion from the the past few months of various debates and discussions.
- Passing away of my maternal grandfather.
Oh and of course some events and happenings which I would rather like to keep private.
The strike of midnight on 31st night is the time when we jump from one year to another leaving the year behind and starting afresh with a more positive outlook towards people and life in general. Well that's what everyone generally aims for and by the end of January is back to square one.
I too have many resolutions.
1 - I want to learn how to speak up and give back to all those who hurt me. I want to stand up for myself even if it means standing up to people near and dear to me.
2 - I want to write better. I want to play with words as if they are marbles. I want to inspire someone with my words.
3 - I want to read more. Newspapers, books, magazines anything. I just want to get lost in the world of books and never come back.
4 - Lastly I want to love my life and give love to everyone around me. Be it my peers or family. I want to enjoy life and taste the various meals it serves in a plate. I want to experience life as it is.
Over the pastone two years I have learned that "Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned,
earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of
living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude." (Denis Waitley)
Life will always be a roller coaster ride. People will come and go. But we have to keep moving. We have to be tough, gentle, sweet, strict, loving, all at the same time. This balances us out.
I wish to everyone to have a very very happy new year 2015. Though it won't be happy most of the times but still for all those times it will be happy and all those times one will work hard to make it happy. Cheers!
