Dissapeared Companions
“Memories warm you up from the inside. But they also tear you apart.”
― Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore
Sometimes it so happens that what you want to keep with you for the longest time, is the first to slip out of your hands. Friendship and memories being one of those rare but precious gifts.
I've realized that my father was right. before my 13th birthday he said, "Don't get too excited about the fact that you are becoming a teenager. It's the most confusing stage of life. You'll surely regret that you ever wished to become one." He was right. He was so right.
Being a teen has its own perks and hardships. But for some the hardships are more. The biggest tests that we as teens have to give are that of friendship, love and trust.
It's hard to be loosing someone special. Especially if you meet that person everyday. It's hard to forget a person who gave you so much to remember. It's so difficult to imagine that the person you really cared about is now only alive in your fond memories.
Sometimes I miss being little. My eyes become puffy when I think about the good old times I shared with 'someone'. They both were my bestest of friends. It's sad to see how quickly someone can change.
The past two months have been the most wonderful and disastrous months. Wonderful because I have learnt some realities of life which I won't have otherwise. Disastrous for the simple reason that 'some people' have drifted away from my life to a place full of pains.
